Verbs

When we write stuff at work, our verbs—the action words—must not be overlooked.

People might fall asleep if our verbs are vague. I've seen too many sentences with verbs like maintain, support, and operationalize. Be specific. People, especially the public, will struggle to understand if they can't envision our verbs.

Tip: Use verbs that are clear, concrete, and easy to visualize.
