Objects don’t do the action. They receive it.

People can be objects:

Billy punched Bob.

Bob got punched by Billy.

Inanimate things can be objects:

The auditor reviewed the file.

The file was reviewed.

Subject = actor

Verb = action

Object = acted upon

Tip: Pay attention to who's acting and what’s being acted upon. It'll make active and passive voice easier to see.
